This aphid predator attacks and feeds on over 60 different species of aphids.

Ships FREE via Overnight methods on Tuesdays Only. MINIMUM 7-day processing prior to shipment.

Target: Aphids (over 60 species) including green peach aphid (Myzus persicae), hemlock woolly adelgid (Adelges tsuga). all types of aphids, especially those in greenhouses and indoor settings.

Optimum conditions: 64-77° with RH of 70%.

Shipped as pupae. The adults hatch within 1-12 days. Upon hatching, females lay eggs among aphid colonies. After the eggs develop into larvae, they seek out adult aphids, injecting a toxin through their legs to paralyze them. Then they suck out body contents through a hole bitten in their thorax and aphids die.

Application: 1 predator per 10 sq. ft., 2-3 predators per 10 sq.ft. for heavier infestations or 4,500 per acre weekly until infestation subsides.

Instructions

Blister Pack Applications: Keep at room temperature until the first adults are seen. Remove sheet of Blister Packs and separate along perforations. Bend the card forward slightly at the top of the blister and pull the tab up. Hang opened Blister Packs onto leaf petioles within crop so it is shaded. Hang some Blister Packs in or adjacent to aphid colonies and place others in areas without obvious infestation. Emerging adults will fly into the crop and locate aphid colonies.

Bottle Applications: Open bottle in the crop, then divide the mixture into small containers containing moist peat or vermiculite. Distribute mixtures throughout the crop or open the bottle in the crop and place small piles of the carrier material directly onto the growing media.
