Jackson Taylor isn't just an artist; he's a renegade storyteller who embodies the raw, unapologetic spirit of outlaw country. Known for crafting music steeped in honesty, reality, and authenticity, Taylor's career has spanned three decades, with the Sinners being formed in 1999 in Hell's Kitchen, New York - Defined by chart-topping albums and a fiercely independent ethos. With In Memphis, Taylor's dream of recording in the shadow of his idol, Elvis Presley, took an unexpected turn. A venture to the legendary Sun Studio revealed a less-than-idyllic experience, but true to his defiant nature, Taylor turned disappointment into opportunity. He and The Sinners found inspiration in the stairwell of Lauderdale Courts-Elvis's childhood home-where the natural reverb of the hallways famously influenced The King's sound. The result is a record unlike any other: raw, unfiltered, and visionary. In Memphis is a testament to Jackson Taylor's ability to take adversity and transform it into art, capturing the echoes of a legend while staying true to his own unmistakable sound. For longtime fans or first-time listeners, this album is a gateway into the world of a modern outlaw who refuses to follow the rules.
