Title: Ctb Vol. 3 Goons
Artist: Mophono / Tenshun / Heavy Twelves
Label: CB Records
Product Type: 7-INCH SINGLE
UPC: 686162826575
Genre: Rap/Hip Hop
Release Date: 2020-04-24
Number of Discs: 1
Mophono's unparalleled sense of instrumental narrative makes it difficult to neatly categorize his genre-refracting productions that he calls Dirt Wave. His emphasis on simplicity yields captivating results. Teaming up with Tenshun to create the title track Side A, Goons crashes through the skull with a brash restlessness of the drums that juxtapose the minimal synth psychedelia, and pensive swells. Hailing from San Diego both Tenshun and The Heavy Twelves represent a texturally rich drum palette thoroughly explored on both sides of this explosive limited edition vinyl Change The Beat Vol 3 Side-B, Spy vs Spy, is a non-deceptively bold and in your face experimental hip-hop meets synth sludge listen, that is rude and chaotic marked by a profound sense of urgency. The Heavy Twelves and Mophono explore disparate but interwoven themes of synth hysteria and colossal rock drums dragged through the depths of hell to finish with a versatile Skip-On Beat dj tool comprised of arguably the most neck breaking drums ever recorded on earth.
Tracks:
1.1 Mophono X Tenshun - Goons
1.2 Mophono X the Heavy Twelves - Spy Vs Spy
