Supremely adapted to a variety of mountain experiences, the Salewa Alp Trainer 2 GTX hiking shoe is light enough for fast day hikes, supportive enough for fastpacking, and retaining just enough technical details to allow alpine scrambling. Essentially a low cut version of Salewa's highly regarded Alp Trainer Mid, the EVA midsole combines with a nylon shank style midsole provides cushioning and support and the low cut allows greater mobility. Salewa’s famed 3F design cradles the heel area with an asymmetric Y shaped system to hug the rear foot area securely. A combination of leather and synthetics in the upper offers a blend of long term durability with nimble comfort. And of course, backed with a Gore-Tex waterproof and breathable membrane.
