For your consideration is this vintage glass ashtray produced by Anchor Hocking of Lancaster, Ohio. This piece was part of their Royal Ruby line and newspaper advertisements date the piece to being available for procurement as early as 1940. This ashtray features a thumbprint design on the rim allowing for 16 total cigarette rests in a circular pattern. The underside is ribbed in exception of the rim which is flat. There are three glass legs which are often referred to as 3-Toed. The piece measures 4 inches in diameter, stands 1 inch tall, and weighs 3.8 ounces. The glass does have a slight green glow under 395nm uv light (but not 365nm light) and most likely contains Boron Nitride (not on California Prop 65 list). Such a lovely piece of Ruby Red Glass whether used as an ashtray or a pin tray in your Art Deco styled boudoir.
Condition: No chips or cracks observed. Item has been steam cleaned prior to photographing and listing.
